What we do for HVAC systems
Verv’s high-resolution predictive maintenance technology detects anomalies in how the air conditioning unit or heat pump is performing.
We use our AI algorithms to show energy insights into the performance of the unit, how efficiently it is running and where and how energy and carbon reductions can be made.
Using real-time monitoring and our eGenius technology, Verv can also identify signs of component fatigue and locate faults that are occurring or are about to occur, in the utmost detail.
Since Verv’s inception, we have been on a mission to reduce carbon emissions by unlocking previously untapped energy data to gain new and unique insights into equipment to reduce its overall energy wastage and carbon emissions
Air conditioning and large electrical equipment play a significant part in the world’s growing e-waste problem, whilst also contributing to the high levels of carbon emissions fuelling the climate crisis. Verv’s aim is to reduce the carbon emissions wasted through inefficient usage and poor appliance management by providing cutting-edge predictive maintenance technology to create a new generation of smarter, longer-lasting, and more sustainable appliances. In addition to providing maintenance information, we also provide real-time power and energy information to grid level accuracy as well as product utilisation and management data directly to our customers helping them manage their energy consumption and wastage more effectively and accelerating them towards their Net Zero targets.

Company History
Verv has a strong heritage in big data analytics, born in 2009 from years of experimental academic research into high-resolution acquisition techniques in the energy space. Over the years, we have gathered a wealth of knowledge and a plethora of unique data sets that have allowed us to refine our algorithms for specific applications to electrical load data. This began with the original Verv Home Hub, a high-speed energy monitoring device, which evolved into different licensing technology formats for both businesses and homes. Verv was co-founder of the original Non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) Workshops and helped lead the revolution for turning energy data into serviceable benefits for all end users.
We have delivered projects worldwide using our patented, EnergyGenius TM, load monitoring technology, and machine learning algorithms to derive unparalleled insights for a variety of use cases. These include household energy reduction, consumer appliance health insights & product recall to name a few. We have also been heavily involved in innovative renewable energy solutions using peer-to-peer energy trading and were famously the first company to ever create an energy trade on the blockchain.
